You had no right to give lawsuit immunity to nursing homes and force nursing homes to take #Covid_19 patients and then cover your ass for your murderous policy by erasing your name off the Exec Order! You jeopardized NY and should be in JAIL! You had ALTERNATIVES!#ableism

@CAGovernor: No COVID patients in nursing homes while offering nursing homes immunity from COVID liability. Calif Health Dept: No hospital guidelines discriminating against elderly, disabled, poor and people if color in case of overload. https://t.co/XN6xNV8sry #NoLicenseToKill

The corona virus COVID 19 pandemic has greatly affected persons with disabilities as a result of inevitable government measures to control the pandemic, such as restricting movement of all people, lock down of all city centers/ closure of non essential businesses, Curfews, quaran

We need to work on South Africa's policy for #COVID19 triage ASAP, informed by the Constitution and the #CRPD, so that when our time comes we don't devolve into fascist ethics informed by ableism and ageism like in the US and parts of Europe. @SAHRCommission @Disability_SA

People with #autism, down syndrome and other developmental issues are more likely to die from Covid-19, than the general population, according to data I crunched from Maryland and Virginia. In Virginia, for instance, its 3 times higherhttps://t.co/fAshjeqbmZ

@TwitterSupport this Eugenicist account thinks it's too inconvenient to care about immunocompromised ppl & spreads misinformation about cures for AIDS & COVID-19. Humor a ride or die with a Hep-C husband & look into it??? #ableism #lies https://t.co/37OKOhdV2C

I’ve noticed a lot of places are sealing food/drink to protect from the virus — great but are there accommodations being made for people with disabilities who can’t maneuver breaking a seal or ripping open a package?

There seems to be a lot of ableism in Covid recovery.
The trending hashtag intended to insult 45 is fatphobia. Yeah, so damn progressive. 45's rhetoric and policies already harm obese people and y'all forgot/don't care that obese people were among those sent to the back of the line for saving from COVID. You're enabling that norm.
— Dr. C, rhetorical agent (@DrCCedillo) May 19, 2020
I just. Fuck the racism and ableism around the Republican response to covid, fuck all of this, fuck fuck fuck.
— Ana Mardoll (He/Him) (@AnaMardoll) May 23, 2020
What's "latent" about the bias that slowed the global response to #COVID? ("Don't worry, only the old and the ill are at risk.") Bias is bias, and as we've learned the hard way, the lethal consequences of #ageism and #ableism affect us all.https://t.co/6haecEEV9L

Fatphobia is being used to justify the high death rate of Black folks from covid-19, bc it goes hand in hand with ableism & white supremacy but go off on telling fat folks you don’t care about our lives at all, this isn’t “discourse” it’s actual people’s lives.

Faking oppression just to make a selfish, unconventional point that costs lives and leaves those that are victimized and vulnerable in worse off conditions? Hate to see it

This makes me so mad. How dare people without disabilities use this an an op when people with disabilities are already being underserved when it comes to medical care and safety as people with disabilities have been left out in COVID-19 legislation and face institutional ableism? https://t.co/yxAV0Y2m2u

I'm really pissed about the Nancy Pelosi comment mostly because I've been hearing that fatphobia irt to covid from my mom and I was foolishly thinking it was a smaller more severe subset but nah, its mainstream and legitimated!
— ??⚔? (@BigGay_Baby) May 20, 2020
There are definitely other ways to look at it – like that being fat has exactly zero to do with your risk levels for COVID-19, or only does so because of medical fatphobia.
— Jefrir (@jefrirca) May 20, 2020
There is no need for complicated explanations of a phenomenon that doesn't exist.
Weight (in and of itself) has very little to do with risk for Covid-19 patients. Also, one of the reasons it's wrong to fat-shame Drumpf is that it encourages medical fatphobia, which truly is deadly to fat patients.
— joules (@joules54228823) May 20, 2020
Serious response though: I'm scared enough of the fatphobia medical industry giving me substandard care if I get COVID; I shouldn't have to be reminded that most people think I'm worthless.
